More Historical Buildings and Architecture in Batangas Part
Punta de Santiago Lighthouse. Located in Calatagan.
Built in 1890, it is one of the earliest lighthouses that still function up to this date. Since it was constructed, no running ship has ever run  around.

Marcela N. Agoncillo Historical Landmark (National Landmark).
Located on Marcela Agoncillo St., Taal. The birthplace of  Marcela N. Agoncillo, the maker of the first official Filipino Flag during the Philippine revolution against the Spanish Authorities. The different flags of  the revolution are also prominently displayed.

Jose P. Laurel Memorial Library. Located on A.  Mabini Ave., Tanauan.
The personal property of the late President Jose P. Laurel was donated to the Philippine Government to serve as a historical site and public library.

Mabini Shrine (National Shrine). Located in Talaga, Tanauan.
It houses the remains and personal belongings of the late  revolutionary hero and "Brains of the Katipunan", Apolinario Mabini. His tomb lies at the middle of the site where a replica of the house where he was born  also stands.

General Malvar Museum and Library (National Land Mark).
Located on Gov. Malvar St., Sto. Tomas. It serves as a memorial to the last Filipino general who surrendered to the American forces. The place, which was donated by the family of the late general houses some of his memorabilia and  the collection of oil paintings for the contest held during the Malvar Birth  Centenary Celebration.

Leon Apacible Historical Landmark (National Landmark).
Located at Marcela Agoncillo St., Taal Town. An ancestral house of Leon  Apacible with family collection of relics and memorabilia. Showcases Taal’s glorious past, relics of the turn-of-the-century life, a 400 year old galinera, an 18th century chandelier, gilded mirrors, diggings and artifacts.

Batangas City Basilica Of the Immaculate Conception & Infant Jesus

Baptismal book of the Batangas City Basilica. First named entered on Feb. 19, 1635.Built in 1857. The present church began in 1851 due to the increased population. Father Pedro Cuesta, the parish priest undertook the construction after having the torn down the old church. It was granted Basilica status by Pope Pius XII. “Given in Rome, at St. Peters, with the seal of the Fisherman, on the 13th day of February in the year 1948, the tenth of our Pontificate -1948.” Text from a copy of the actual letter written in Rome to grant the Batangas Catholic Church its appointment as Basilica.

Museo ng Batangas at Aklatang Panlalawigan
Created by Executive Order no. 30-93 signed by the Batangas Governor Vicente A. Mayo on March 3, 1993. The Museo mg Batangas is a repository of Batangas memorabilia and it is also and active and dynamic entity engaged in keeping alived the cultural wealth and traditions of Batangas and Batangueño spirit that has animated the arts and science, politics, economy and society.

Sixto Lopez Ancestral House
Typical fo the several Spanish Era Houses constructed in Balayan.  Don Sixto Lopez, the Grand Old Man of Balayan was a comtemporary of Genral Malva who never recognized the American Sovereignty until his death.

Taal Cathedral de San Sebastian- Taal, BatangasTaal Cathedral de San Sebastian
Reputed to be the largest in Asia. Taal church stand 95 meters long and 45 meters wide on a plateau in the heart of Taal.  The Augustinian missionaries started the contstruction in 1756 and took a cuntury to achieve its present form.  The facade resemble St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Its tabernacle is the only one of its kind in the Philippines.
