Id like to address this concern to the Honorable Governor Vilma Santos Recto.
I am from Tanauan City. It is common knowledge that drug addiction is rampant all over Batangas. The stuff sells as fast as the cheapest Mcdonald Burger, and the victims are mostly the youth. What are the measures that the Batangas Government is doing to eradicate this menace. What activities does the Barangay officials do to help eradicate it. I know they are being paid by the government to help make a barangay a nice place to live in. On top of that we also have Sangguniang Kabataaan. I can see everybody is busy with mostly infrastracture projects, but what is supposed to be the priority to make Batangas a nice place to live in? A Modern Highways, a sturdy Waiting Shed, Health Centers, Barangay halls ect....Ten years from now, all those projects will be housed by addicts...You have worthwhile projects...but I think you have not given consideration one of the worst problems...which is Drug Addiction..and if you have projects for that cause is it functional? I am hoping that this will awaken our officials and I will be receiving reply most especially to our Honorable Governor...Happy New Year and God Bless...

I am from Brgy. Balagtas of Batangas City, I am just
wondering if our brgy. officials are doing the right thing. They are
collecting P250 every month from each commercial establishment in our area
issuing a non-official govt receipt. They said that it is for the garbage
collector and street sweeper. I dont belive they they have to collect such
fee because our city govt have garbage trucks the are circling that area
almost every other day. P250 is a very large amount, but we are afraid not
to pay because they might not release any brgy cleareance to us. Hope you
can send me some information and suggestions on what to do. thanks

I am trying to contact Governor Santos on behalf of
the Ramos family. Leticia Ramos was killed in the polling fire in 2007.
Although president Arroyo promised the family financial support, they have
so far recieved nothing. The Ramos family, of Pinagbayanan, Taysan, believe
that Miss Santos will be sympathetic to their cause. I would appreciate it
if you could pass on this message. Thank you
